Jacob Marley - the former business partner of Ebenezer Scrooge - is pictured weighed down iby chains as he visits Scrooge to warn him of the impending visit of 3 spirits on Christmas Eve, The Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Yet To Come.

Marley disappears into the ether as Scrooge awaits his fate.
